Anonymous strikes against

I promise to do dedicate an entire post on Anonymous, they rock too. But for now, in light of the CISPA, Anonymous is calling for an Internet blockout on Monday, April 22nd, 2013.

What is Anonymous? They are a 'who' actually and they have been called many names. Perhaps the most fitting, 'The final  bosses of the Internet', as they refer to themselves. In their biography, they label themselves as hacker activists, who seek to protect or defend the internet from potential threats.

What is CISPA? Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act. The proposed law would allow for the US government to have access of Internet traffic information. That is, Internet Service Providers would share information about their users with the Government. For instance, sites you visited, when you visited them, what information you researched, where you were when you researched it, what conversations you had and with whom. Proposers of the bill argue that this will help the US Government investigate cyber threats and ensure the security of networks against cyber attack. Others argue that the bill lacks confidentiality and civil liberties safeguards.

The bill was passed by the House on April 18th, 2013.

Blockout on Monday, April 24th, 2013
In retaliation to this, Anonymous is calling upon website owners to take down their normal pages and replace it with a picture similar to the picture above.

Hurry, Hurry, Hurry...get on board!

What does that mean for you....well obviously there's a rapist in linking park (ha ha). What it means is, your're here, so you're sort of on board. Or maybe not.

Think about it though, do you have enough tech skills to take advantage of all the 'crazmazing' opportunities that exists and will come on stream. Basic surfing and posting is not going to cut it. Advance surf, dare yourself to learn something new about tech everyday. Advance post , take a chance and apply what you've learnt.
